American comedian Chris Rock and his estranged wife, Malaak Compton-Rock, are reportedly engaged in a financial dispute, as the 46-year-old mother seeks a larger portion of the comedian’s assets to support her and their two children, The Daily Mail stated on June 15.
The 50-year-old star filed for a divorce in December. Since their prenup had expired, the two could face a legal battle over the asset division of Rock’s estimated $70 million. Court filings showed Malaak wants to continue the standard of living she had grown accustomed to during their marriage.
After marrying to Rock in 1996, Malaak gave up her career in public relations and spent most of her time caring for their two kids, 13-year-old Lola Simone and 11-year-old Zahra.
